Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Day 2: Mabamba Swamp
Start your birding safari with a visit to Mabamba Swamp. Navigate the papyrus swamps by boat and search for the iconic Shoebill Stork, alongside a variety of other water birds.
Day 3: Entebbe Botanical Gardens
Spend the day at the Entebbe Botanical Gardens, a haven for birdwatchers. Look out for the African Grey Parrot, Great Blue Turaco, and many more.
Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Travel to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, enjoy birding stops to spot species like the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill and Grey Crowned Crane. Evening arrival at the park.
Day 5: Birding in Murchison Falls National Park
Explore the diverse habitats of Murchison Falls. Boat safari along the Nile offers sightings of Goliath Heron, African Fish Eagle, and more. Continue with a game drive focusing on savannah birds.
Day 6: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Day 7: Birding in Kibale Forest
Trek through Kibale Forest, home to the Green-breasted Pitta, African Pitta, and various species of hornbills and forest birds. Don’t miss the chimpanzees!
Day 8: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with birding stops en route. Keep an eye out for raptors and other bird species. Evening arrival at the park.
Day 9: Birding in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Explore the park’s diverse birdlife, including the African Skimmer, Shoebill Stork, and various kingfishers and waterfowl. Take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel for an up-close birding experience.
Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy birding stops along the way, looking for Albertine Rift endemics. Evening arrival and briefing.
Day 11: Birding in Bwindi
Trek through Bwindi’s dense forest, home to over 350 bird species, including the rare African Green Broadbill, Grauer’s Warbler, and Shelley’s Crimsonwing. Keep an ear out for the distinctive calls echoing through the forest.
Day 12: Return to Kampala
Travel back to Kampala, making birding stops along the way. Reflect on your incredible birding adventure as you prepare for departure from Entebbe.
